It is a great day when I can combine friends, work and creativity. Yesterday I had the opportunity to spend some hours with my oldest friend Annie and of all places, the majority of our day was spent where we played most of our childhood...behind our neighboring houses.
Annie met up with me at The Powder Room, where I did her makeup as for a bridal look that was slightly inspired by Audrey Hepburn in Funny Face.....We then decorated her limbs with simple, yet very sparkly jewelry from the shop.
Did I say that we made a veil? Well we did, out of soft pink tulle and a hair clip, along with a faux engagement ring. And why not? When we played back here years and years ago we just used dandelions on our fingers instead. I know that my sweet friend got a kick out of it as we joked of her "big rock!".
I think that muted browns fit Annie perfectly and although it seems like two times the amount of makeup that she usually wears, she looks like herself. No cake makeup here, it's important to look yourself, but to remember that when those pictures are flashing that it is always good to have defined your features a little further than usual, so that they translate in film.
Adding soft hair pieces are a great way to spruce up a simple bun and compliment the undertones in your skin.
All in all it was a fun day spent with a great friend like old times: playing with makeup and jewelry. Thank you Annie for supporting me and being gorgeous!
